I have had people asking me for a clone of my USB stick that has Windows 10 IoT, Window 11 and my Linux Distro's, plus the apps and games. So I am taking the time to do a new build of them all and will write up the methods for copying it, then I'll share the LARGE file on MediaFire, Just incase anyone wants to have a copy of my actual USB stick - I'll reduce it as much as I can by not including vanilla Ubuntu etc and drop back some of the larger apps/games, but I don't mind sharing what I have as it's always nice to come across a PC installed with my tools and tweaks, then I don't have to remember all the "official" ways to get to everything.

I have no plans on updating the LivePE as it does the job and since the New Folder issues has been fixed, I am happy enough with it. If it fails to work with the 25H2 ISO I am basing Windows 11 on I'll need to fix that, but chances are it'll just work anyway.

I've built Windows 10 IoT and Windows 11 25H2, just making the ISO of LastOSLinux Mint 22.2 Updated. I've reduced the ISO down to under 64gb, so will see what else I can with hold to make it even smaller but complete with the essentials.

-EDIT-

Doing Manjaro now, may as well update all of the ones I am using myself as I'll need to have them available. Skipping KDE and Gnome versions as these don't suit my own use cases.

I reinstalled the iMac 27" 2015 with the LMDE7 (iso on Ventoy drive), the only thing needed to boot into PE was switching from normal to grub2 mode (if I recall it right) and then the installation went smoothly and the computer boots with the video working 'out of the box' as it did with Debian13 (y)

I will try to install this LMDE7 or the Mint22.2 on Macbook 2008, would that be good choice? Perhaps those are not the lightest linux choice among those you produced?

I just use Mint 22.2 as all the others are still Cinnamon anyway, so if it works better for you, use it. But 22.2 Works the best for me all round. I have had to use Manjaro and Nobara on some hardware that "requires" Wayland for the graphics to work well. So Mint 22.2 worked with them but would be low FPS. I have had one Dell AIO fail to boot on 22.2, but Manjaro and Nobara worked fine. I assume it was due to the newer Kernels etc.

In the end though, so long as LLStore works for me and Cinnamon is there, I am happy to use any Linux. I am not a fan of Bazzite etc as Atomic releases don't have a proper Store and you can't install system wide apps/games etc. It's really good for it's purposes, but a Desktop PC with Game support is not what it is - Unless you exclusively want to use flatpaks and appimages.

This iMac 27" 2015 with installed LMDE7 started to take over two minutes for startups (about half a minute to reach that blue small square logo (the one that is divided into four quadrants) on which it then sits a good minute and a half).

One thing I did that might have damaged the OS was to try launch Baldur's Gate 3 game on it just to see if it would run on this linux issue but it got stuck before getting into the game and I couldn't even open terminal to issue xkill and had to force reboot. Not really intending to play this game on this iMac since it doesn't quite have the muscle judging from the previous tries when I managed to log into actual game (there was also some graphics problem when I was in the game that would prevent playing anyway).

I reinstalled with LastOSLinux Mint 22.2 and so far everything is OK. Again straightforward install, startup from pressing button to desktop takes 75 seconds. I think I will stick with this flagship of yours, it has by far the most downloads on SourceForge, 8k+ (y)

that is only that version too btw, previous versions had many thousands of downloads too :)

The very latest version on LastOSLinux is only in the AIO I released as an ISO inside it, this was due to me being in windows bin my main rig and I didn't want to reboot to upload it to sourceforge (not setup my FTP in windows for it), that and the only new thing was the LLStore and not as many post install updates. Which all update themselves, so seemed silly to start a new iso for just that :)
