Windows is blocking using the windows 10 boot.wim for unattend.xml files.
this is the feature that Last10 and 11 use. They are also actively removing bypass microsoft account sign in's.
All this means that windows 11 is moving to a locked eco system with agentic operations as its primary use case.
yes windows 11 LTSC may continue to work for a while and we can always build os based prior to April 2026, but at the end of the day if the OS is forcing changes to push control to them, is that the OS you want installed on your computers?
I am really just asking, you are all welcomed to do whatever you want. I just don't see a world where I can thrive in a locked ecosystem. As such I still do not intend to build Windows 11 mods. Microsoft have made it clear they don't want us to do so and break things when we try. There is a reason I move to linux and it wasn't because of my personal interest in it, I can just see the writing on the wall and instead of working around limitations on windows I chose to move to linux before the rest to make it a better option, before you all come over, or sell your soul to Microsoft without knowing the choice.
LastOS will continue and although linux isn't perfect yet, it is moving towards better things. The new v7.0 kernel and with distros going wayland only, you're looking at two years max before it is the better option. though it depends what you do on your PC I guess.
