App Repository Information

As LastOS.org first had it's space reduced by quarter, then the hosting got DDoS and hacked, we've had to shut the application repositories until we find the funds and best place for new hosting.

You can still access some of them using LLStore as it uses github and mediafire to download them.

I'm also hosting repos, etc at LastOS.org since Steve inserted more quarters for another trip around the sun.. The speed is pretty decent now; and I'm still working on improving even faster -- my cap is at 2TB/s, but it's not that fast (yet).

The repos are also available via a P2P Fopnu channel for LastOS: "fopnu:channel:y52zi4bqfz5iuenuykb4lxtb4rksbw5udmx7gy4ekdvl4jka3txq/LastOS"

Fopnu is like the offspring of Bittorrent and eDonkey/eMule with many of the advantages of both.

i'll have a look into that later today, i know i tried once before to make ssWPI use p2p, with my current skill increase I might just be able to pull it off for LLStore, that said mediafire does a great job hosting direct links, so might not need to :)

lol, nah mediafire is 1tb, i don't intend to maintain archives, the updated repos are well under 1tb, mediafires 1tb for $70 USD is enough. archive.org can host older things, but they can be DMCA off so don't spend too much time uploading to it :)

i am taking the start fresh approach to my uploads, except for the last xp, vista, 7 and 8 iso's, they are just so some history is preserved.

then the hosting got DDoS
It's funny, at the same time lastos.org was getting DDoS'd so was BTDigg. They even changed domains too. But I had been accessing the site through their onion link; so none of that didn't really affect me.

Who was offering 2TB's of storage for a good price?
I have a free mediafire account , I paid for 1 month of the upload via web like 2 weeks ago , it helped me with transferring the files from server straight to mediafire . Trick is to put files on server in a valid linked to folder and it will do it, 6.99 for 30 days , I was sold for this reason to get complete backups to mediafire without me having to download them and reupload them .

Seems mediafire has a really good usage now days .

i'd never heard of btdigg, but because i use linux, i have a search tab built into bittorrent, really handy as you can search directly in it for whatever your after and it scrapes a bunch of sources for everything.

Seems the DDOS attack on BTDigg was so severe, it runs exclusively on the TOR network and nothing else.

i tried the link and got a virus warning and it tried to run a norton anti-virus app
I'm not sure what's going on. The onion link is the only one I can get to work. In addition, I cannot get past the bot checker unless I have my browser tunnelled -- VPN not proxied.

Very complicated to get on to it. :what:

Same happened to LastOS.org. once google flags a site/page then this happens. Can take ages for it to go away again too. If they still detect issues at all, it doesn't go away. As we saw with our old hosting. New injection methods can walk right through the front door on WordPress based hosting. An there is a lot. I'm not surprised
